Thomas Vauthier

Thomas Vauthier is an enrolled ETHOS student at the EICAR - Paris

Profile

Born in Melun, Thomas Vauthier moved a lot when he was a child due to his father’s work, being able to get in contact with different music influences from an early age. He and his brother became great listeners of Rock and Jazz bands which made him love the bass. At school, with a more classic influence, Thomas took some violin and music theory lessons. Music was the way Thomas found to express himself, being an important aspect of his life. After finishing high school he started exploring more music, the most relevant medium to talk without using words.

He started cinema studies in the University of Strasbourg where he had the opportunity to work and share some projects with university colleagues. It was there that he had the chance to explore a new world in music, being able to discover his real passion, music in cinematic arts.

He was enrolled in the Composition in Multimedia program at EICAR in Paris and the Ethos program, as he is always looking for an opportunity to learn and unveil the infinite possibilities of this two different worlds. As a hobby he is also enthusiastic to learn more about directing and screenwriting; as such he wishes to be able to those with music, his main passions, by professionally becoming a Film Composer.
