Learn more about the instructor Marcus Sjöwall
Through a series of assignments, students will prepare the raw midi of a cue, orchestrate it, and create professional quality parts. Interspersed with assignment review, examples of ‘before-and-after orchestration’ will be shown and discussed, during which students will gain insight in the significance of a live recording, as well as the process of how to get there.
Marcus Sjöwall lessons are specific to the software program, Finale.
To achieve the optimal learning experience, Finale is a requirement for the student to work directly with the instructor’s method for music notation. If the student is currently using another notation software, like Sibelius, you can enroll in the course, but it will be your responsibility to adapt the methods and practices specific to Finale in this course. If you have questions about this or the implementation of Finale in this course, please contact us directly.
