ETHOS - Education Online

We’re an educational start-up, previously based in Paris, now in Los Angeles, delivering online courses in MUSIC FOR MULTIMEDIA, taught by industry professionals working in Hollywood.

The browser-based platform is “LIVE” and Interactive. We’re striving to build an ongoing community of musicians, composers, recording engineers and mixers, directors, producers, educators, students, entrepreneurs, technologists, programmers, artists, and the list goes on…

In our initial beta-launch, we delivered ETHOS music courses to students from around the world; Paris, Barcelona, Karlsruhe, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

JOB OPENINGS - INTERNSHIPS (4)

(1) MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

– Develop communication strategies that generate revenue and lead to key partnerships, sponsorships and opportunities in support of the ETHOS brand
– Leadership: working with faculty to develop PR media from content design and creation to final delivery, aligned with the ETHOS course curriculum
– Social Media: lead all social media planning to determine best options for marketing

Qualifications

– Strong strategic thinker
– Strong copywriting skills
– Ability to work with a variety of software tools; Clickfunnels, Wrike, Salesforce, etc.
– Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to be a great team player
– Highly desired, prior experience in higher education

This internship is unpaid. Desired time commitment is at least 20 hours per week with flexibility to schedule. School credit may be arranged.

(2) IT MANAGER INTERN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

– Manage IT support and function within ETHOS
– Work closely with leadership to identify business critical issues and help implement solutions
– Build workflows to track incidents and support related requests
– Manage IT related budget

Qualifications

– Prior experience managing and/ or supporting IT
– Strong project management skills
– Strong communication and analytical skills
– Prior experience in higher education is a plus

(3) OPERATIONS - PROJECT MANAGER INTERN

We’re hiring a self-motivated Operations – Project Manager to work closely with the ETHOS faculty, currently a team of 8 instructors, with the goal of gradually growing this number over time. You will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, delivered on-time, within the assigned budget. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

– Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
– Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
– Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
– Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

Qualifications

– Demonstrated experience in project management
– Advanced time management and analytical skills
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Clickfunnels, Wrike, Salesforce
– Excellent client-facing communication skills
– Prior experience in higher education is a plus

(4) FRONT END ENGINEER INTERN

What You’ll Build

We’ve built the current platform using WordPress with a variety of 3rd party plugins. We are open to rebuilding the entire framework and moving to another platform. Our essential needs include 3 primary components; live interactive video (New_Row), a learning management system (LearnDash) plus all of the WordPress plugins to manage content and functionality of the ETHOS educational program. In this position, you will serve as the lead to spearhead the development of the next generation of this platform. This is a great opportunity to help create and define new learning methods on the web.

Qualifications

– Experience building accessible user interfaces using standards-based HTML, cross-browser compatible CSS, and lint-free JavaScript
– Strategies to implement automated user interface feature and unit testing
– Opinions on designing high quality, responsive, performant and cross-platform user experiences
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Understanding of REST API design and communication best practices
– Prior experience in higher education is a plus
