Hello, National Sawdust,
Aligned with your mission, we have some programming ideas and services to share with you…
Just below, there’s a 5 point slider – each topic includes video and/or audio plus a link to additional information related to the topic. We hope you’ll spend a few minutes to review this basic outline of the proposal, as a way to invite a follow-up conversation about these and many other possibilities. And, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you’ll see a proposal for a subscription service specifically designed to work for National Sawdust. We’re excited to share this with you, and hope to hear back from you soon. We’re based in Paris but I’m currently working in the NY metro area, with easy access to Brooklyn.
Best wishes for continued success,

Introducing Ethos Education Online
We launched ETHOS in October 2015, having created a new online interactive platform for education. Our current focus and curriculum is designed to deliver an educational experience in Music for Multimedia, yet we have the framework in place to incorporate any number of subjects and topics in Arts Education. We’re currently based in Paris & Los Angeles. We welcome the opportunity to discuss the possibilities for working directly with National Sawdust, including new course modules, masterclasses, workshops, live music performances and special events.
ETHOS Special Projects & Coursework
We’re designed to be collaborative with any National Sawdust event or live performance
In cooperation with your current programming; August Labs, NS+, In Situ, your curators as well as your artists and groups in residence, our Ethos platform can be expanded to include any National Sawdust event or live performance. And we broadcast these courses and events globally. Our initial launch included students and participants from ESMUC in Barcelona, USC in Los Angeles, Hochschule for Musik in Karlsruhe, and EICAR in Paris – delivered live, in a synchronous, interactive environment.
Here’s what our students have to say about Ethos
Live Broadcast of Workshops & Masterclasses can also be added to any Live Event
In this example, we partnered with ASCAP & composer, Marco Beltrami, (Oscar nominee for The Hurt Locker, and 310 to Yuma) to produce a scoring workshop – recording session, where participants created new original music for several scenes from the Tommy Lee Jones feature film, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. Consider the possibilities for adding these live sessions to any event, to include a pre-concert lecture or post-performance masterclass.

Composers & Visual Artists Work Together to Create Live Interactive Performances
We were in attendance for the world premier of The Hubble Cantata. Paola Prestini’s music, the libretto, superimposed still images and a virtual reality segment, was extraordinary. Along similar lines, we work with visual artists, Mike Patterson and Candace Reckinger, as they continue to develop this multimedia format. Rhythms + Visions; visuals by Scott Pagano, music by the Brian King Ensemble. Candace is the director of a new VR Lab in L.A. We look forward to sharing this artistic work in an educational environment.

NYC is home to innovation in jazz – NS has the potential to be a major contributor
Music by John Zorn, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Tim Berne, Mary Halvorson, Craig Taborn, Ches Smith, Nels Cline and others is abundantly present in NYC, and will continue to garner support, but what about emerging artists? We propose a strong jazz programming component. One which includes well known artists, but also opens the programming doors wider, to make new discoveries in this realm . And in doing so, NYC continues to be the home for innovation in jazz. We are passionate about bringing this music to the forefront of the arts scene, and with the ETHOS platform we can share it with the world.
